Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Drive from Haldwani to Kausani via the scenic route through Almora, taking around 4–5 hours. Enjoy panoramic views of valleys and pine-covered hills along the way. Arrive in Kausani, a peaceful hill station at 6,100 ft. Check into your hotel or homestay for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Depart from Kausani and drive 3–4 hours to reach Khati Village, nestled deep in the Kumaon Himalayas at 6,500 ft. Enjoy the journey through lush forests and remote mountain roads. Experience the local culture with an overnight stay in a traditional homestay in this peaceful village.

Day 3: Begin a scenic 13 km trek from Khati Village to Dwali Camp, taking around 6–7 hours through dense forests, river crossings, and alpine terrain. The trail offers beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. Arrive at Dwali Camp, located at 8,500 ft, for an overnight stay in tents or guesthouse.

Day 4: Trek 5 km from Dwali Camp to Furkiya Camp, taking about 4–5 hours. The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows and offers stunning views of surrounding peaks. Reach Furkiya Camp at 10,100 ft and settle in for an overnight stay in tents or a guesthouse amid serene mountain beauty.

Day 5: Embark on a 19 km round trek from Furkiya Camp to Pindari Glacier Point and back to Dwali Camp, taking 6–7 hours. Reach the majestic glacier at 12,100 ft and soak in breathtaking views. After exploring, return to Dwali Camp for an overnight stay in tents or guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek approximately 12 km from Dwali Camp back to Khati Village, taking around 5–6 hours. Descend through lush forests and scenic mountain trails, retracing your steps with new perspectives. Arrive at Khati Village by evening and enjoy a restful overnight stay in a cozy local homestay at 6,500 ft.

Day 7: Depart from Khati Village and drive back to Haldwani via Bageshwar, enjoying the scenic landscapes of Kumaon one last time. This marks the end of the journey.
