Itinerary
Day 1
Embark on a scenic 8–9 hour drive from Kathgodam to Munsiyari, passing through Bhimtal, Bhowali, Almora, Berinag, and Thal. Enjoy panoramic views of the Kumaon hills and lush forests en route. The journey ends at Munsiyari, a picturesque village nestled at 7,200 ft in the Himalayas.
Day 2
Day 2 begins with an 8 km drive from Munsiyari to Balati Bend, followed by a 4 km uphill trek to Bhujani campsite. Enjoy a packed lunch en route. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and forests. Camp overnight at Bhujani, located at an altitude of 10,400 ft.
Day 3
Day 3 starts with a trek from Bhujani campsite to the Khaliya Top summit, reaching a maximum altitude of 13,100 ft. Witness breathtaking Himalayan views before descending back to Balati Bend. From there, drive back to Munsiyari. This day offers a mix of adventure, natural beauty, and rewarding mountain vistas.
Day 4
Day 4 marks the return journey from Munsiyari to Kathgodam, covering approximately 414 km in 8–9 hours by taxi. Enjoy the scenic drive through Thal, Berinag, Almora, Bhowali, and Bhimtal. This long yet picturesque route winds through the heart of Kumaon, concluding your memorable Himalayan adventure.
